Now a days England teams has been playing a two match test series against Sri Lanka. After this series they will come on the tour India. The English team’s tour here will be a bit longer and the England team will come here to play all three formats. The England team’s India tour will begin with the Test series and its first match will be played in Chennai from 5 February. After four Tests, a series of five T20 matches will be played and a series of three ODIs will be played at the end. All three formats will be played in Chennai, Ahmedabad, and Pune. Most matches will be held in Ahmedabad.
There are four Tests, five T20s, and three ODIs to be played between India and England. The series of five T20 bouts is also a big reason behind the event. Keeping in mind the preparations for the T20 World Cup to be held in India this year, the maximum number of T20 matches has been kept.
