Mohammed Azharuddin of Kerala has exploded in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. He scored a century in 37 balls against Mumbai. This is the second-fastest century of the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. He missed breaking the record of Rishabh Pant. Pant had scored a century in 32 balls in the year 2018. He has scored the fastest century among Indians after Rohit Sharma and Rishabh Pant.
Mohammed Azharuddin completed his century with the help of eight fours and 8 sixes. He played only four dot balls while reaching his century. He returned with an unbeaten 137 off 54 balls with the help of nine fours and 11 sixes. Azaharuddin is the first batsman to score a century in T20 cricket for Kerala. Earlier, in 2013, Rohan Prem’s unbeaten 92 runs were the highest score for Kerala.
